As you note, Network Rail recently completed a package of works at Acton Main Line. This work was delivered on behalf of the Crossrail project and included the piled and sheet foundations for the new accessible footbridge and ticket hall. Its completion this summer is a significant achievement for the project given the enormous constraints of building on an operational railway, and marks an important milestone for the project. In the next few weeks we will mobilise the next phase of works across several of the western stations including Acton Main Line, Ealing Broadway, west Ealing, Southall and Hayes & Harlington. This phase is being undertaken by a new contractor, and will involve the construction of the structures for the lifts and new passenger footbridges at the stations. This work will continue through to Christmas this year, where pending agreement with the train operators, we hope to close the railway for 4 days to install the bridge decks for the new accessible footbridges.Once the programme has been approved by the train operation companies, I will be writing to local residents and stakeholders with a further update.
