New Speed Signs
New 20mph signs have been erected on the part of Southfield Road between St George’s Road and Acton Lane. These new signs are intended to make the 20mph speed limit more obvious to motorists. All roads in Southfield Ward, and across the whole of Acton, are subject to a 20mph speed limit.Even as the new signs were going up on Friday morning, Community Road Watch volunteers, in a 2 hour period, recorded 100 vehicles doing 25mph and more along Southfield Road – several were travelling in excess of 40mph.
