There are some FB sites such as 'Chiswick, buy, sell swap", where you can post stuff to give away. Other sites such as Acton life and Acton friends restrict such posts to Fridays. A lot of stuff gets recycled this way. One man's rubbish...There is Gum tree too. Chiswick car boot sale on the first Sunday of the month is a great place to shift stuff. The foot fall is huge so if the price is right you will get rid of stuff.Bit more of an effort but it was well worth it for me when I did one.
