You are right there are many families who are taking advantage of Social Housing who are either subletting flats or can even afford to pay higher rents!! The problem is that once you occupy a council home there are very little annual checks made on the occupants!!

Ha! I know at least two people earning very good money who live in council accommodation, so make that 3,997. Personally I think if you are earning wages enough to rent privately and are in council accommodation, you should be charged market rent. I'm sure it would free up a lot of homes for those who genuinely need them.
