I was there last week with an overseas friend. Excellent beer (superb stout), good music, seats and tables were good. Sadly the kitchen was being renovated, but you are allowed to bring in takeaways while it's out of action. The decor is quirky, but I suspect few would visit for that. I've been in pubs all my life as my parents were landlords, this one doesn't look bad from my experience. The Portobello Brewery have done a good job here and make excellent beer (I liked the Dragonfly brewery but this is better). I hope it gets the footfall to keep it open. I will certainly be going with my friends.
