Am I the only one who thinks Sadiq Khan is an abject failure as Mayor?

I struggle to recall a single "good" thing he has achieved during his term to date. In fact, I think he's utterly useless, he always looks like a rabbit in the headlights to me.Can his supporters please enlighten and educate me?

It's impossible to please everyone, does anyone know the answer to violent crime we cannot put all the blame on one person does he make final decisions, I doubt it..

He might have bought in Hopper fares, but his promise during the election that Londoners "won't pay a penny more for their travel in 2020 than they do today" was shamelessly broken when he then claimed he meant it was for single journeys only so all season ticket holders, (ie, most London workers) had their season tickets increased. Who actually uses single tickets anymore? Even tourists would use a travel card.  And as for his claim it'll take 10 years to sort out knife crime - we'll just kick that down the line shall we and watch our young people die. I'm not impressed by politicians full stop, but really not impressed by this one :-)

He's the best Mayor we ever had. Livingstone was a zealot and Johnson a dilettante totally uninterested in the detail of the job.The most important thing he has done is stop the ever rising fares that have made London one of the most expensive cities in the world for public transport. The bloated organisation that is Transport for London has become ever more dependent on charging us more but Sadiq Khan put a stop to that leading to squeals of protest from the vested interests. If you travel on the tube regularly particularly early in the morning and late in the evening you will see the high proportion of people that use it that are clearly going to very low paid jobs. Travel costs take a huge proportion of their disposable income away and so increasing fares effectively works as a highly regressive tax. For this more alone Sadiq Khan deserves huge credit.Other measures too have made a significant difference to people's lives - for instance the bus hopper fare which has made many journeys much more affordable to people. Unlike Ken Livingstone he has been quick to recognise when schemes were unpopular and scrapped them and unlike Boris Johnson he hasn't simply done what his bureaucrats told him.
