Save the Goldsmiths Arms - we need your help
The owner of the pub has submitted their first application. To prune the trees in the garden. I have been told (but not verified yet) that at least one of these is protected. I have also been told that this is a developers trick. They will appoint someone to certify them as diseased and immediately fell them. Thus removing a barrier to the demolition of the Goldsmiths Arms.We are asking all our supporters to go onto the council portal and register their objection.https://pam.ealing.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=constraints&keyVal=PHF1OAJM02C00Your objection might include things like:'perfectly healthy specimens''there is no reason for these trees to be pruned or managed as their condition is excellent''shameless attempt by a developer to clear land''conservation area''these trees should be the subject of a tree preservation order''Asset of Community Value, it's a pub and these trees provide shade for the beer garden and make for a delightful location''LBE's excellent record of preserving mature trees in the conservation area and in particular in relation to ACV listed sites'Thank you everyone for your continued support. Together we can win this and leave a community hub and legacy for future generations.
