I understood, although I may be wrong that c.30% of all new build had to be affordable i.e. 80% of market rent, so putting another couple of storeys on is giving another 11 so called affordable homes, but another 22 to sell with no extra land costs. The PR makes out they are doing us a favour by providing another 11 homes, they are not they have to! Affordable is not what Acton needs, we need homes at Social or London Living Rents, three bedrooms at least.
