No doubt when the new 40+ storey Towers go up in North Acton

there'll be a cacophony of squealing as their sheer scale and enormity finally dawns on people.But it'll be a bit late by then won't it.Apathy reigns as usual, you get what you deserve.

Do people realise how tall 40 storeys is. The student accomodation on Savoy Circus is 8 storeys. Oaks is 11. The new build at Homebase is proposed to be 20 storeys (currently 17). Grenfell was 24.  20 is tall.  40 is very tall.

Its not an opinion, Its a blanket, anything new near you shouldn't be built. Classic NIMBY. I don't class that as an opinion, just the lowest form of what becomes anti migrant anti migration. Don't come here, don't build anything so any more people can come here and live. Complain they don't contribute, that they use vital services. Its all rather depressing and you are a serial offender on here. You're not saying anything new and you're saying it a lot.

Not getting worked up about them is perfectly fine by me, that's your prerogative of course and I have no problem with that.My point is that the majority don't want loads of Towers. We are the voters, we pay the Council Tax, and the Council is supposed to do our bidding.Except they don't.

No doubt I will have a closer view as I'm near the proposed tower next to Acton Mainline - 30 floors or so is it?I dunno why, but I just can't get worked up about them.

They are to high for fire safety Roscoe but if the fire service cannot stop them going above a safe level for people's safety then the residents don't have much hope.

Miss it, used to be there quite often before my friend died, have no ties there now apart from ancesters in Churchfield Burial Ground. Just quick visits now when I can.

Maybe people who live in London don't all believe its just for them. That houses and flats are needed. You seem to believe everyone has your narrow, self serving view. They don't.

I think, Tania, the other issue is that with LBE Planning totally out of control you might also soon have a lovely daily view of a few Towers right next door?!These things will cross The Great Divide into Acton suburbia.Unless they're stopped.

I think I'm the only one who likes the North Acton towers. I live on the A40 opposite, so it's my daily view and I quite like them.The only issue I have is that they're mostly for students who don't contribute council tax. They should build some for those who contribute taxes to an area and sell them at an affordable price (yes, I know wishful thinking). I do also think high rise is the only way to go if our population is going to continue growing. I'd rather build up into the city skies, than out onto the green of the countryside.
