I want to warn people John because this person is still operating, so far we believe he has taken money from 4 customers and there is little chance of anyone getting their money back.The morale of this story beware of using sites such as Rated People. Just go by recommendations from friends. Don't give money until the job is done, or order materials yourself.It is too late for us but are still trying to resolve the matter.

Beware of a company called Rated People, they do not bother to check their trades people and when things go wrong they simply wash their hands!
Thanks Kim, I did post on both Chiswick and Ealing Fora and I would be interested to know whether anyone else has had any dealings with this company.It was confirmed by a post on Ealing forum to me that others also had their fingers burnt after using this company.
Never heard of them but you should ask on the Ealing and Chiswick Fora.
