Acton Santander to close

There was an idea mooted a few years back that the Major Banks share a location but it never gained traction because of the individual banks' self interest.Absolute common sense, should have been a flyer really.

There are lots of ATMs: also at Sainsbury, Londis, Acton Town tube.But, that aside, its a shame for Santander's customers. I will be closing my account before the branch closes. Wy should I save with them, if they don't invest in my community?

It was Lloyds then became Lloyds TSB and sold off to TSB when they split up.

I also fear for the TSB Acton Branch - they do not open on Saturday and the interior looks like it has not seen a lick of paint or new carpets in years. Find it hard to believe but staff told me it was originally the Lloyds Bank branch many years ago?

If it helps, there is also an ATM machine in Morrison's.  I do agree that it would also be an ideal site for the post office replacement - and there are loading bays nearby for post office vans.

It would be an ideal location for the Post Office and all the infrastructure already in place. Not sure how it would work for Post Vans etc.

There will only be two lots of Cash Point Machines left Barclays and TSB. Going to be a bit of a nightmare if their machines are on the blink.
