Our black bin should have been cleared on Tuesday - they eventually came for it today. So for you - perhaps tomorrow?Good luck!

Our rubbish should have been collected on Wed. I was aware they were running a day late, but black bin not collected today either. Tried to report it online as a missed collection, but have missed the window of opportunity. How may days should I leave the bin on the kerb in the vain hope they may finally collect?

I had a email from one of the local councillors, saying his rubbish was collected ,oh OK then , then went to say that feb1 the snow and the freezing temperatures  and the recent accident which one of the team members lost his life ,that safety is there priority.

Well said Lorna, I am not on Twitter, we have street lights not working I was asked for numbers on the light pole don't have any as they are the old orange estate lamps even the local councillor can't seem to get it Bloody council.

Thank you for that - very helpful. I wasn't following the council on Twitter but have now, reluctantly, added them, if that's the only way to receive useful information.I see they blame the 'cold snap' for the delays...  They haven't emptied my garden waste bin on the correct day once since Christmas. Can't blame that on a light powdering of snow.And what about folk who don't have phones/PCs or don't 'do' Twitter? They are just left twiddling their thumbs and getting irritated with the rotten council service (again). Because if you report it nothing happens anyway. (end of rant)

The council tweeted this earlier this afternoon"Due to the temporary suspension of waste/recycling collections at the end of last week, our contractors are working to catch-up on the back-log. Apologies but we are currently running a day late with collections. Please continue to present your bins as normal."Might have been more helpful to tell us yesterday instead of waiting until the collections had been missed.

The opposite side of my road, which is LB Ealing, usually has collections on Monday. They were doing them today. Suggests that there was some sort of hold up. Unless they've changed days but not bothered to tell anyone.
