Acton Post Office

It seems to have gone deadly quiet on an alternative site for the Acton Post Office that closed last Oct. I wonder if this will be gently brushed under the carpet so we all forget that we actually had one.

The empty bank (was it a Nat West? Can't remember, so much keeps closing!) next to the pub on the high street which would have been a perfect location for the post office (safe and counters already in place) is under offer - anyone know what's opening?  Please not another: fast food outlet/estate agents/coffee shop/bookies.

Noticed a large letter box, that can take A4 envelopes in Morrisons.  Not aware of anywhere central that you can drop off a stamped Royal Mail parcel.

Not true there is never a queue - its my local PO and I've noticed a big increase in the numbers using it. But I guess it depends what time you go in.

Probably.You can get some of the services at the one in the Vale - vehicle licence for example. And there is never a queue.But it's just not as central.
