We have two copies through our letterbox, but as yet, have to see who posts them! I've never understood a publication called 'Around Ealing' being dropped to Acton - akin to a magazine called 'Around Acton' dropped to homes in Ealing! Pretty much the entire content covers Ealing, so really begrudge the wasteful aspect of this - ours usually goes straight in to the recycling bin.For fear of repeating myself, I do feel Acton is the Cinderella to Ealing. We need proper shops here, so people can just pop to the high street to buy all their needs: clothing for all, household items such as bedding, furniture, etc, bookshop, post office (back), good stationers, larger Boots, shops like TK Maxx or Primark that cover a lot of the above for many, etc. This would put money and investment into OUR high street and economy, rather than people travelling by car (then paying to park on top), bus, tube, etc to other areas, thereby investing in their areas, and making them more attractive to folk from other areas. Acton is not a destination shopping/eating/entertainment area to anyone outside Acton, which is a shame, as if it was invested in properly, it could have a lot of potential aside from food, bookies, estate agents, food, bookies, estate agents, food, etc.
