Getting intolerant in my dotage.

I must be.Neighbour is retired and has the entire working week to tend their lawn/garden, yet, without fail, always chooses Sundays to get out a variety of power garden tools. Cue hideous noise nuisances. On Easter Sunday.Are they being ignorant? I'm probably being unreasonable.

I'm not sure that dotage has anything to do with it.  It seems it is what is happening to everyone everywhere.  I was being told about the "New York Minute" yesterday after complaints about being hooted at for not driving aggressively enough at a roundabout, and accelerating fast enough for a following driver from the lights.  If that happens to me when driving I deliberately slow down as I am the one driving my car and I don't want to be rushed so that I make a poor decision.Maybe we should all do more walking or yoga or something to chill out.  Or maybe listen to relaxing music since it seems even a walk in the park can now be stressful.

And you were always such an easy going fella :)It is illegal in many parts of Germany to mow the lawn in residential areas on Sunday and there are also laws on noise which are much stricter than in the UK. The German constitution recognises Sundays and public holidays as "days of rest from work and of spiritual improvement", which is why few shops there are open on Sunday. Perhaps you're just discovering your inner German?

But there's Yoga on Monday, Painting on Tuesday, Lunch Club on Wednesday, Swimming on Thursday and Keep Fit on Friday.  Saturday is needed to catch up on paperwork and banking and to do a little shopping and that leaves Sunday.
