Not good for the planet or his carbon footprint. Could he not find a way to raise money without flying? I would like to believe that people who sponsored him to raise money for this charity would have done so if he had stayed in the UK and ran a marathon, cycle in the Pru or other similar activity. Charities need to stop encouraging people to use precious fossil fuel in their name.

He's not the only one! There is that guy who had a heart attack and ran a marathon and Margeret Noel. They clearly must also be part owners to get such coverage as nobody wants to read about inspiring people in our local community. We'd rather just have a litany of crime stories to confirm the view we live in a lawless hell-hole which anyone with a scrap of decency has long departed. Rosco's point of view is entirely rational and makes perfect sense.

If you don’t want to read it, then you don’t have to. I think it’s worth publicising his climb up a high mountain in Iran if it means his chosen charity gets even just one or two extra donations.
