We are really fond of Tony's food -which is also very good value. Plus Tony caters parties and is ever so reliable about delivering. Hasu is pretty good too - fab tempura. We enjoy Anokha too. And the pubs. And the Churchfield Food Store.It's a very picky post....

Went there for the first time tonight. Had a great meal, and Chris the owner is a genial host.Do give it a try, it would be great to ensure its success.

Agree with Charlie and Michael above - l'Oriental is excellent as are the Japanese places, the Station House and Fed and Watered.  Loving the options now in Churchfield Road.

Another hugely positive vote for L’Oriental (if that’s the one you meant). I eat Tony’s food probably more than I should, and have never had a bad experience. The food’s great, the service is fine and the prices are rock bottom. Obviously YMMV.

Can't let this comment pass. "The Lebanese place". If you mean Tony and L'Oriental which has been serving delicious food to the neighbourhood for about two decades then you are clearly unfit to pass judgement on restaurants full stop. It has catered for work parties for me too where colleagues are stunned by the quality of the cooking. You don't get approaching a five star average from 108 google reviews from being "particularly bad". I don't know which other "cheap bad restaurants" you are also tarring with the same brush - two truly excellent japanes restaurants, fine indians, and yes some good pubs. Maybe start by approaching 2020 with a bit more positivity and joy in your heart, and you will find eating out a more pleasurable experience.

Considering how many cheap, bad restaurants there are on Churchfield road- which is actually shocking when you go out for dinner and end up in the pub- it’s great to have something that finally brings a bit of class and decent food to the area. ( the Lebanese place is particularly bad btw)

Every meal I’ve had there has been outstanding. This is a great new team delivering fabulous food in a fantastic atmosphere. Is it the cheapest place to eat in Acton? Of course not, but then we need to ask ourselves  if Acton really needs another cheap/place to eat? Personally, I’m guessing not. F&W is filling a great void in Acton with a place that food lovers can go to when they want something that is great AND local AND (in my opinion at least) fantastic value. Obviously, your mileage may vary, but for me at least, it ticks all the boxes.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the food guys. We use the best of ingredients and have some great chefs on board, our Head Chef, Yaz,  was in fact recently featured on Masterchef the Professionals. She is a local girl too which is even better!Also now open officially for dinner Wednesday to Saturday evenings.  Hope to see you all soon.

Yes same here. Took my mum for a late breakfast and was very pleasantly surprised. Lovely food and very attentive staff. Its great to see independent businesses open in Acton and this looks like another great addition.

We had a very nice breakfast after voting on Thursday. And by 0900, it was really busy. Chris the owner said they were starting dinners that night.

Hi all We are currently opening Wednesday to Sunday for breakfast from 8.30 through to middayish although at the weekend longer due to demand. Timings all on the website.We are testing our dinner menu in the hope that we will open imminently.I hope that helps and look forward to seeing you all there.

Slightly confused, as stated on here that it is open Wednesday to Sunday, but we went past at around 12:20pm today, and it had already closed!  Trying to support new ventures opening, but struggle when they're not open!We shall try again another day - does anyone know opening closing times for definite?

Bit like the Oaks, there seems to be a trend in Acton of ‘half opening’. Don’t quite get it, either fully open or don’t. I took my mum there for breakfast the other day and it was closed. This half thing looks a bit unprofessional tbh.

Hi all. We are open currently Wednesday to Sunday for breakfast/brunch. 8.30am usually until middayish but currently slightly later due to the demand. As for dogs, we felt that in the day they should be welcome but not for the evening dinner service which will be launching imminently.  Children/guide dogs and anyone else welcome too :)  We look forward to feeding and watering you all well.

A quiet dog sat under a table is much preferable than a noisy child racing around a restaurant. But each to their own :-)

I went yesterday but they were closed.  And again this morning, even though their website says open from 8am - they were closed.Really want to try them but they don’t make it easy!

Dogs should only be allowed in restaurants when they're on the menu.

Definitely no mutts in restaurants, and tbh even Guide Dogs should be "seated" a reasonable distance away.

I also would prefer not to have dogs in a restaurant, unless they are the very necessary guide dogs. I particularly dislike people feeding their dogs at the table.

Guide dog only isn't what they told me. Maybe they've decided against dogs. That's fine, it's their choice, there's a lot of other places on Churchfield Road who do allow dogs.

Had a very good breakfast on Saturday. It's not cheap but it is very good with great staff. On the dog front I'd prefer not to have dogs in a restaurant (expecting a backlash!).

Apparently maybe by towards the end of November.It's having a few pop-up thingys before that.Not sure what sort of cuisine it is offering.
