I second Angelas advice. My uncle in New York did something very similar with a dodgy furniture shop. his wife dropped him off with sandwiches,flask and placard and he spent the day picketing the shop. Apparently he marched up and down the street shouting ( Loud, Belfast accent,Old Testament prophet stylie) " ***&**** pass them by!They promise but they don't deliver!" They tried everything, cups of tea, threats, cajoling. Apparently when they threatened the police he was so delighted he asked a bystander to take photos. They were nearly weeping with frustration. He went home with his money. My only experience with Goodmans was some years ago when we were selling our flat. Goodmans was a brand new estate agents then and, along with a few others, came to give us an estimate. Thats all. We gave them no instruction to sell. We eventually went with Foxtons. I was surprised to find, when idly looking in Goodmans window, that our flat was being offered for sale. I was furious. We had definately given them no instruction and our fee with Foxtons was based on a 'Sole Agent" instruction. They aid it was a mix up. It seemed very odd to me and I've had a dim view since.
