I am glad you had a good experience, mine was horrible...I m still trying to fix the mess those people have done. Had my flat completely refurbished by Tom and his team one year ago and since then I am only having a problem after another as works were clearly done in the most unprofessional way ever. First my windows started leaking (as soon as winter time arrived..): turned out they had not been sealed properly!..and rushes of water were reaching the apartment below mine every time it would be rainy and windy...Now i m re-doing the bathroom all over after a leak i my shower turned to be a much more serious problem due to a very bad plumbing job done by those people. Found out that below a "perfectly tiled" floor, they had botched all the plumbing system in a way that is unbelievable (e.g. wrong size of pipes; some "glued" to others, wrong pipes connections, hot and cold water pipes inverted, and much more crap like this....). Every time i took a shower, basically the entire floor below the tiles would be inundated with water but i couldn't see it as they had placed a waterproof sort of layer just below the tiles that took a while to get over-soaked, break and the water to over flood..Result is , the wooden floor under the tiles went rotten and got full of mould little by little due to the fact that the waterproof layer above it could never really dry: every time i took a shower (..and due to inefficient plumbing system they had built up!..), the water would deposit on it again and again and again.....When the flat below mine started suffering leaks coming from my bathroom and with my current builders we lifted the tiles, the reality of a very poor plumbing job hit us big time!!...Those who are currently working to repair the mess Tom's guys have done, said in their entire life/experience as builders, they have never come across something like that...they said whoever did the plumbing in my shower HAD ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA OF WHAT HE WAS DOING!!....I suspect the problems are not even over yet...The person who did the plumbing also installed my boiler and radiators and so on...I have always had continuos water pressure problems with my boiler (..this since i moved in after they refurbished the place..)...so now i m quite sure another leak probably connected to the radiators is waiting for me somewhere else in the house and waits to be discovered..: another nice gift left by those people who got paid lots of money to refurbish a flat at such a great standard!Just hope my experience posted here can help someone else not to go through the same hell I am now going through..(PS. I think the guy who did the tiling was good indeed as my apartment looked nice from the appearance at least!.. Pity for the mess that was hiding behind nice walls and tiles...)
