AAAARGH! *%£^@ ENGINEERING WORKS!!!

I am flying to Valencia on Saturday from Gatwick North Terminal, and had my journey to Gatwick all planned out with a 50p Easybus ticket from Fulham Broadway all booked already.  Now I have received a helpful email from TFL informing me that there will be no District and Piccadilly Lines from Acton Town this weekend!  AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!Any suggestions for alternative routes to Fulham Broadway, preferably avoiding the rail-replacement bus (which in my experience always gets stuck in horrendous traffic) and the other alternative of mini-cabbing it to Fulham Broadway (and therefore negating the money-saving on 50p easybus ticket)?  Oh and I will be encumbered with a suitcase (albeit on wheels) as will be visiting family and so have to take lots of tea and biscuits and stuff that won't fit into a rucksack.

266 to Hammersmith. 211 or 295 to Fulham Broadway. It'll take you an hour.

Even better (45 mins):207 to the Bush.Central Line to Notting Hill Gate, then District to Fulham Broadway.

Yes, unfortunately I live quite near to Acton Town station, so did think of 266, but didn't fancy negotiating wonky pavements with a suitcase-on-wheels to get to Uxbridge Road.  I think my best bet is the E3 to Chiswick High Road then the 391 to Fulham. It's so annoying to have to allow at least an hour to take two buses, rather than the 20 minute tube journey I had been expecting (foolishly).

Yes, I use it a lot, and that's how I came up with my probable itinerary; just thought I'd pick some local brains and see if any useful ideas came up.  Thanks!
