Churchfield Road Parking Bays- Good News

I've just heard that my PCN for parking for 3 minutes in one of the new bays on Churchfield Road has been cancelled. I made representations immediately after it was issued and also contacted the local Councillors who had instigated the scheme. One of them, Mrs Kumar offered to help and common sense has prevailed.  Lets hope that this scheme can be reviewed and a more sensible approach adopted regarding the 30 minutes free parking. The idea of having to key-in car details when just stopping to buy a paper or loaf of bread must be changed or I'm sure many other people will be discouraged from using the shops there.

Good to hear Tony, wish we could do something about the traffic warden that patrols Churchfield Rd though, he almost knocked me over last week. He saw me coming up behind him with my buggy, stopped without warning and stretched out his arms. I had to dodge getting punched in the face. Maybe we should ticket him for being ignorant and bad mannered.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, a while back he began photographing my windscreen immediately I'd stopped in a loading bay and carried some stuff across to open my shop in order to unload. When I asked what he thought he was doing as I'd done nothing wrong and been there less than a couple of minutes, he asked me if I'd like a ticket so I could appeal! Nasty attitude.
