Death of The Bill - wasn't it shot around here?

I'm sure I remember seeing them recording it near here - but it must have been aeons ago - perfectly possible in a series that has run for 27 years.

Yes mid/late eighties. Even remember my Capri was  in one scene shot in the High Street!

The Bill was based in Merton in South London; that's where the police station sets were built. But they filmed it all over London. One story some years ago was set around St Mary's by Morrisons, and I distinctly remember recognising some of the roads on the industrial estate off Park Royal Road during a car chase

In the early 90's my shop was featured in The Bill. It was a seen, where a robbery had taken place. V. S. Bell jewellers in the high street. I have a video copy of it. Passersby thought it was real as the set up was so realistic.

On another tanget I am watching old episodes of Minder on ITV 4. Where was the car lot during the opening scene. It's not the one at the end of Avenue Road? It's been bugging me trying to recognise where it is.

If you mean Arthur Daley's car lot, I think it's the one on The Vale just after the railway bridge on the right hand side.

and later on the car lot was located on churchfield road and the entrance to the Winchester Club was  on the corner of CF and Derwentwater , my boss at the time used to get the hump because I was  always watching it being filmed ,, then I caught him watching it for ages lol

One episode of The Bill was also filmed in Market Place, Acton. They spent a few days there but the actual scene was rather brief!

There was an episode quite recently involving the Polish community -- I think that's the one referred to already -- on Market Place.  You could quite clearly see the coffee shop and estate agents.
