Are Community Centers private properties?
Perhaps someone can enlighten me about community centers in UK. I grew up in Canada so I'm not familiar how community centers are run here.Couple of questions:Are community centers considered a private property?Who pays (finances) for running/maintaining community centers?I live across a street from a small Community Center which is gated. There is a large grass playing field which seems to be used very rarely. The other day my son went to the community center grounds to play. A member of stuff told him told to leave as the property is private.My questions: under what circumstances local residents can use the grounds of community centers? Are community centers facilities and grounds only for hire and not accessible to local residents unless they are part of a club or group?In Canada the community center's grounds are open to public hence my enquiry.
