Goodbye to our 1930s lift!

Our tower block is having its lovely old 1930s lift replaced for a boring new one.  So no more Thoroughly Modern Millie re-enactments for me.As a farewell we tried to recreate Walt Disney World's 'Hollywood Tower of Terror' ride in our own special way ... enjoy:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8W5u6UyE3Fw

Bizarre, not many 30's tower blocks IMHO, please name and shame....PS I can see the open grills causing H&S issues....I hope the replacements work well,if not as much fun on camera....

It's Gunnersbury Court.  All three are being replaced, we think for health and safety reasons.  That five-floor walk is already feeling too long!

Ah, I remembered those lift well, as I lived in GC for 9 months.
