Friary Road closed next week from 12/04/10...

or was it 14/04/10?Anyone know why?

Network Rail are undertaking essential improvement works on the embankment at road level which will continue over a number of weeks from Monday 12th April through to mid June.  Friary Road will be closed to northbound traffic for the duration of the work.Daily works will take place from Mon to Sun - 07.30 to 18.00 hrs.  There will be overnight works on the weekends of 16th/17th and 23rd/24th May 2010.

I can not wait.Someone find an e-mail address for the chief exec of Network Rail so the rants can be directed in an effecient manner.

Ah I see. Wonder why the notice has a start date but no end date...hmmm.This probably means that the surrounding residencies will be plagued by mice and rats for the forseeable time the works are ongoing. Ugh!..And where will the ever growing family of foxes go...hmmm?

The cause of this work taking place, for your information Mr C, is the very lorries you talk about.  It doesn't take an Einstein to work out LpOE>wLofE.  Lorries parking on embankment is greater than weight load of embankment.  There is no end date because the work is so serious they don't know how long it's going to take.  My guess is, they will ban lorries from parking there in future.  Oh, silly me, lorries ARE banned from parking there and have been for years!  The Council will have to make provisions to make sure these lorries can't park there again.  I'm sure Network Rail have something to say about that.To my knowledge no-one ever mentioned how much money Harry's Cafe makes and that's not the issue. The lorries are a separate issue to the cafe.

Ms. White To add to your skills as a first class moaner I can now add the skills of civil engineer 1st class.Where is your evidence? The reason for the work could be many a varied.Any how I look forward to oans and groans from your part of the world as the work drags on.

I really don't care if this works takes years.  There is a huge bonus in that.Evidence?  Why provide any when you spout nonsense with no evidence at all of anything you claim.  Ask the Council why, not me.

How do you know it's the lorries? It could be the trains or soil errosion regular traffic flow. That's why I ask. If you make a statement you must qualify it with fact. But you just revert to your nasty responses it is what you always do.if you don't like the lorries don't live so close to the A40.If it does carry on for years at least we can look forward to some nice whining from you.
