The Infidel - better than its reviews
Just got back from seeing this comedy movie written by David Baddiel. It's about the British Muslim who finds he was born Jewish and is helped by Richard Schiff(Toby in the West Wing) to explore his roots. Wasn't hoping for much as the reviews were mediocre - with the Jewish Chronicle giving it the worst I have ever seen - but the large - 75+ maybe - audience at Park Royal Vue laughed throughout. And what was a hoot was the Muslim in-jokes (panned by JC as insensitive) got a great reaction from the quite widely head-scarved audience. Obviously better watched in a predominantly Muslim cinema than in Golders Green.It's not playing many places so you might want to catch it soon and locally
