Central Line - Sunday 18/04/2010 PM

Does anyone know what happened to the Central Line last night?  I was trying to get back from Ickenham to North Acton at about 11 o'clock and was told that there'd be "no more trains tonight" after a train hit an metal object on the line at Perivale.Anyone else have similar travel problems last night on the line?

The whole Central line was closed for planned engineering works all of yesterday.

I travelled fine on it from North Acton to West Ruislip earlier in the day!

My original message should have said "West Ruislip to North Acton" not "Ickenham to North Acton".

The Central line was suspended between Stratford and Leytonstone on Sunday due to Olympic Development work at Stratford. A piece of defective track at Perivale damaged some trains on Sunday which caused them to be withdrawn from service leading to cancellations. This situation was excabated by a signal failure at Greenford yesterday evening. Sorry you had such a bad journey Paul.
