Probably because their war chest is much much smaller, so they are forced to hit highly specific areas where they are best judged to take seats. I was reading how even Labour are penniless regarding canvassing, and having to target, so who can guess how much the Lib Dems have. I'm no expert on this sort of thing, just taking an educated guess. And was it not Bermondsey who have had a Lib Dem MP for some time, I would need to fact check that. However in this age of information it doesn't take much to jump on the internet and look at the Parties policy. It is only the future of our country at stake after all. ;-)
