Iain, my info comes from Sgt Mackintosh, not a policy I've read or anything. He said something like "he will send the photos to the Bustag unit at Transport for London as they keep a list of such tags and people who do this sort of thing are unlikely to restrict themselves to just walls as buses are also a prime target so hopefully we will be able to identify the perpetrators" although this is not a quote, please remember. As Doris Cook once pointed out on this forum, graffiti is often related to other crimes by the perpetrators and it's important to remember it's a crime so should be reported. I've been doing so ever since. I didn't photograph the graffiti, but even if you just have the details, send them in so there's a record and records produce patterns.
