Green  Parakeets

Visiting the garden almost every day, now that the weather's getting warmer. They like sitting on the top of fir trees. No camera here, but after a quick Google, I found them.  This is what they look like close up.Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri)

I've noticed them flying in small groups over our house in Chiswick in late afternoon/early evening.  They all seem to be heading in a north or north-easterly direction, roughly towards East Acton I guess.I assume they must roost somehere in that direction, perhaps Wormwood Scrubs?  Anyone know?

Huge population in Kew Gardens and other open spaces. there is work going on to find parakeet contraception but not much so far.

There were lots in Gunnersbury Park last year.

Huge flock in Stamford Brook common yesterday evening, very noisy and busy with birdy business. Lots of the trees have been clubbed around Bedford Park and Stamford Brook Avenue, so the poplars on Southside must be a good place to congregate.

There are loads of them living in bird houses in a garden on the corner of Pierrepoint and Rosemont.
