Richmond-Stratford line reopened

Just to let you know that the North London Line is now open all the way to Stratford once again after the closure of 14 weeks for engineering work.The current timetable (valid until 11 December 2010) is at http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/richmond-clapham-junction-to-stratford.pdf.   (PDF file, opens in new window/tab.)

If only there were the odd Sunday service and more than three trains an hour - it would be fab.But at least they have opened this in time

Except of course it was broken by last night and didn't seem to have reopened beyond Willesden by this morning. Glad to see that three months hard work have improved reliability then.Real irony is that the Metro featured the reopening on their mouth piece page for TfL today.....

No service at all from West Hampstead last night. And no substitue or help offered.It was either an expensive taxi....shlep all the way back to Bond Street and then out on the Central Line or persuade loved one to drive over and pick up. Not much of an option. And NO warning.

I understand it was an overhead power line fault or something like that between Camden Road and Kentish Town West.  I don't think that was part of the reconstruction work, but I could be wrong.  Were you told anything about what was happening at this end of the line?  For example, were they running between Willesden Junction and Richmond?"shlep all the way back to Bond Street and then out on the Central Line"West Hampstead to North Acton: about 34 minutes according to the Jopurney Planner.  Is that so bad?

Saw a shiny train on the level crossing on Churchfield this evening. Not the usual scruffy ones.

It is so bad when unexpected, at 2245 at night and then a 15/20 minute walk home.I got the impression no-one was told anything last night but I have just done a return sprint to West Hampstead wholly without incident.

Disruption today as well, due to a broken down train in the Hampstead Heath area.

.. and I have just ferried my daughter, stranded at South Acton due to points failure, on to Richmond. Not happy.
