That's great news! I'm not in favour of micro-chipping as the only form of identification. It's of no use if you see a cat and wonder whether he's lost, but don't want to risk capturing someone else's pet, finding a cat basket, traumatising them with a vet's visit, just to find they live around the corner. A cat has to be obviously starving and in trouble, and a person kind enough to go to the trouble, for it the chip to be checked. My cats always wore my house number and phone number clearly on a disc (not those silly screw type things that mean catching the cat to read it, and have them run off before you can put it back!). That way anyone they befriended could easily see that they were local (or call me if they were too far from home).
