Death of the Golden Girls

Sad to see on the Baftas yesterday the memorial to some great actors who have passed away this year.I knew Bea (Dorothy) Arthur had died recently but I was unaware that Rue (Blanche) Mcclananhan had also died just a few days ago. Very sad as with Estelle (Sophia) Getty who died a few years back they were  amazing in the Golden Girls. Great comedy from sone classy ladies. However good to see that Betty White who played Rose is still going strong at 88 and only a few weeks ago hosted Saturday Night Live in the States.

This is I believe the last TV appearance by Bea Arthur. She looks thin and frail but her delivery and timing are priceless.
