Rubbish

New Labour council been in for a month and already the rubbish collection has gone to pot. Inevitable.

Black bags/trade waste collected 9am every week until today, today collected 6pm.Good job the foxes are nocturnal.

Conservative govenment for 1 month and already the country has gone to pot. But its ok because David Camera-opportunity is putting the English flag on 10 Downing street. That'll help.

Well, we finally have our recycling bins.  The previous Tory led council did not want to spend money on recycling bins to give to lowly housing association residents.

Great news Alice.  I hope that there will also be enough input/information coming with the bins to encourage everybody to recycle what they can.Paul, it may just be a one-off but why not contact the Council anyway to express your disappointment:  customers@ealing.gov.uk - just so the fact that something went wrong has been noted in case things start to slip because someone (anyone) thinks we don't notice and don't care.

Are most premises commercial? The change may be for the better if it collects rubbish at the end of the working day and avoids trade waste sitting around anywhere locally overnight.

Can I ask that those in the Goldsmith area do not put out their refuse/recycling for collection on the pavement/in the roadway - where it is a danger for the disabled and those with children.It also has the added benefit, in that if the refuse collectors are delayed, for whatever reason, you will not be fined for littering !!  Beware.
