How it worksThe Cycle Challenge is a competition to see which team can cycle the most miles in a month. As you log more miles, your badge will change to cycle star. If you log even more miles you may go up to cycle champion and if you are a hardcore cyclist doing lots of miles you will eventually get the elite badge.To set up a teamWorkplaces, friends and family Just register online and start a team. You’re the team leader.Then just invite colleagues, friends or family to register online and join your team. You’re the school challenge coordinator.Pupils and teachers record miles on their own log chart, then give them to the coordinator to log online.You’ll be able to track progress against other schools in London.Set up a teamSign inLogging milesYou can log miles from the 1 June until 30 June. Don’t worry if you forget to log miles for a particular day, you can log your miles at anytime in June. Miles can also be logged for any leisure trips and other journeys outside London. To help you calculate the miles you cycle, use the cycling journey planner.Make sure that the miles you log are the miles are cycled. While we cannot check up on you, the terms and conditions state, ‘You will be honest and only log actual miles cycled’.To help you keep a manual record of the miles cycled, you can download a mile log chart.
