Builder - any recommendations?

Hello all,Just wondered if anyone knew of a builder for a (hopefully) small job of repairing our front garden's brick wall and gate that someone managed to kick in/ knock down / smash up last night. I thought it was someone trying to steal our flower pots (again) when I heard them in the night, and was smugly lying in bed thinking how glad I was we'd nailed them down this time.Alas, other damage had been done instead... I suppose I should be grateful that one of the broken bricks didn't come through our window...

Hi Dee,It was on Horn Lane. Since the world cup has started, I've heard a LOT more alcohol-related night time behaviour pass us by unfortuntately. Our neighbours also heard them and told us it was a man and woman who sounded like they were having some kind of drunken fight. Lovely. We're having trouble finding builders who return our calls! I really don't want the wall the stay this way for long.

and his rate is, I believe, GBP 150 per day!!

I don't know if Maciek is that busy try him, and as for what he charges I don't know his daily rate, he has only ever quoted me a fixed price for the job and stuck to that even if it takes longer, the only occasion the price altered was when he needed to buy additional materials that were needed, I would always be careful if someone will only give you a daily rate as you don't know the final cost, unless of course it is a very small job.

Maciek gives proper quotes and his daily rate is nothing like suggested by previous poster.I have him for August!Have just realised we have redecorated nothing since the millenium. Oops.
