Traffic Light Nightmares

Does anybody have any information on when the traffic lights on the junction with the A40 and Wales Farm Road will finally be fixed?  Gypsy Corner is at a complete standstill (as it has been since Friday) and its a accident waiting to happen with pedestrians taking their lives in their hands by crossing the A40 with a phase!

It doesnt appear to have a high priority. I was stuck there last Thursday evening so surprised the problem still ongoing this week

It's insane, whole of North Acton  total grid locked, I could hear the beeping over the w/end and was surprised that it was the same today. When you could get on a bus you just got off it again as it couldn't move anywhere!. To get to work I found it easier to walk down to the hospital and take an alternative route from there.  Probably be doing plan B for a few days!

I got the 266 back from Cricklewood this afternoon and it tok me over 2 hours to get home. Avoid North Acton at all costs, it's a nightmare.

Yesterday afternoon on the way back from Harrow, it was the greatest good luck we didn't turn into the one way system - it was wholly gridlocked but there were no signs...no information at all. Hopeless!

Yes, I got stuck there returning home from Hendon on Saturday. I went that way to avoid the bridge works on the North Circular.  What really annoyed me was that there was no advance sign to explain that Acton traffic couldn't cross the A40.  How long has this been going on?

There are finally engineers on site this morning, but the three of them look just as confused and bemused as those drivers stuck in the gridlock!

A post on the Chiswick forum says that power to the traffic lights was lost when a gas contractor cut through an electricity cable.

They have started to allow traffic eastbound on to the A40 which made the area a thousand times better than yesterday but still not completley fixed!, I use the 440 and  it is still starting and finishing just before North Acton tube.
