Road closures 28th June in Churchfield Road - sorting out puddles
This came today from the Council with a request to circulate. Some pain in the short term but at least it's being sorted!Acton Town Centre Regeneration ProjectChurchfield Road – Temporary Road ClosureDear Occupier,Ealing Council’s Acton Town Centre regeneration project is progressing towards completion in June 2010. The proposals aim to upgrade the quality, function and appearance of the Town and create a shopper and business friendly centre. As you may be aware, part of the ongoing works included resurfacing of the carriageway in Churchfield Road near Acton Central station. Unfortunately the surfacing contractor did not complete the works correctly and we regret to advise that this section needs to be resurfaced again. There is no additional cost to Ealing Council or ratepayers for these works. In order to undertake the works safely road closures are required at this restricted site. To minimise disruption the works are due to be undertaken overnight between the hours of 7pm and 5am on the following date:- Monday 28th June 2010 - There is also provision for works on the night of Tuesday 29th, but we are aiming to avoid working two nights if at all possibleUnfortunately the road closures will affect a number of side roads adjoining the works area. Signed diversions will be put in place to direct local traffic. Local access will be allowed, but there may be delays. We aim to minimise disturbance to those residents in the vicinity of the works and will undertake the noisier site operations before midnight. May we take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any disruption, in particular noise disturbance during night works, and thank you for your co-operation and understanding. If you would like more information about the project or would like to discuss any aspect of the works please contact Customer Services on telephone 020 8825 6000.Yours sincerelyHighwaysEaling Council
