The cafe in Market Place has disappeared, signs taken down. A shame, such lovely, smiling, helpful staff, nice clean conditions and fresh food.

Sad - and you would think rather short-sighted - there's enough available retail/restaurant space you would think in Acton for a landlord - even if greedy - to be keen to hold onto paying tenants.

That is such a shame. I cannot believe how gready Landlords can be with the state of the economy at the moment. I heard that Birthdays closed their outlet in Acton because the Landlord increased the rental.

Actually I meant at the birthday card shop mentioned above - counter-productive of Lnadlord if the result was an empty shop - gamble worth taking if it's already generating revenue.
No its empty and there is a sign in the Cosmopolitan from the Landlord trying to rent it as a cafe again.
