Recycling Week 2010

Where in Acton, please?The Recycle Week ends tomorrow, and the linked Web site claims that the nearest "Event Near You" is 91 miles from Acton.

I personally can't make everyone talk to each other but the more people who ask the organisers of these events to find a way of doing so so that we can find the info the better. The Council have to choose where they are spending our money and it looks like Recycle Week dropped off this year's agenda (I can't see a Press Release) - presumably in favour of other recycling initiatives eg food waste and the new kitchen caddy.Here is another link:  http://www.london.gov.uk/event-meeting/2010/jun/recycle-week-give-and-takewww.charityshops.org.uk is another useful website but it doesn't seem to have Trinity Hospice Shops (I think I passed one in Turnham Green Terrace Chiswick.  They do free collections.) or FARA (I've seen one in TGT and in Ealing Broadway). It seems the British Heart Foundation shops are taking electricals - there used to be one in West Ealing.
