At last! ... a real curry in Acton.

I think I have had to wait 5 or 6 years for a decent curry in Acton, I have had to catch a 207 bus to Southall for one. The Bombay Bistro opened a couple of months ago, I have been 5 times now. This is not a "Curry Formula" restaurant, it has the same chef (continuity) and they look after you. It is my favourite Indian restaurant in London.I must gently mention that I do not have shares or family associated with this restaurant. I once took the trouble  to mention the great Sunday jazz and food at the "Station House" which provoked some of the local W3 participants to accuse me in this forum of some kind of nepotism. Again, I am simply spreading the word of a place that stands out in Acton.

Mr Taank says it's very good too. I haven't tried it yet as family don't like curries - first week in August is cury week.

I totally agree Gus. My newborn son was a little late arriving this month so I  ordered quite a few curries from them to try and kick start labour (yes it's probably an old wives tale but I loved the excuse to have so many curries). Each night when I called to say it was the pregnant woman again they recommended another curry and increased the heat a little bit more... Every dish was fantastic and my boy was only a week late so I managed to avoid the horrid induction at hospital.

I'm sure it's great - but I would add that 3Spice has been providing excellent curries in Acton for several years now.  I don't eat curries often, but I have always enjoyed the ones I've had from them.

yes I like 3spice (another first week in August favourite) but the menu is not as distinctive as it was when it opened.

I am still a regular at 3 Spice for take away and the odd dine in, basic lamb curry is now my favourite. I will try the new kid on the block and see how they compare......
