ChiswickW4 Site taken over by scammers.....

Someone, probably using different alias's and impersonation is multiple posting forcing genuine posts over the cliff of page 10! Ostensibly linked to a banning but I doubt it. Neighbournet will have to act to improve site security!

We've had more than 1000 spam postings, so all the real posts have been forced down the agenda and have disappeared. All very silly and spiteful, and could only happen at a weekend when the moderators are not at their desks. Most people have no idea what it's about. Including me.

Batten down the hatches ... there's a suggestion that posters should migrate over here.I've said we are far too boring and uncontroversial ( and that we mostly play nicely together) so I hope that's one thread that will be buried by the moronic trolls (oops it's catching!)

Seeing will be believing. These sites are hardly secure, and grown-ups don't always know best. Not that I approve of the moronic posts on W4.

Apparently it was all sorted by soon after midnight and normal service has been resumed. phew!

You can no longer make the same post twice, which many people seem to do inadvertently, so some good has come of the troll infestation now that they are back under their bridge.BTW, I think the original request to reinstate Lynn was bone fide but got hijacked by nutters.
