My favourite street sign in Acton .... 

Spotted in the windows of a house on the corner of Grove Place and Grove Road...A sign which states ..."This is a garden I live here! Do not dump beer, bottles etc. IF CAUGHT GOD WILL NOT HELP YOU IF I CATCH YOU!"You have been warned...!

I saw that as well.  It's about time they realised . . . .if your front yard looks like a fly tipping dump, people will treat it as such.  :o)

I have the opposite problem.  People are kind enough to "clear up" for me,  to date they have cleared up 2 bikes!

For me it has to be the cafe in Crown Street (formerly Pumpkins, which I still miss).They offer various kinds of drinks, includingCOCKATIELSIt's next to the pet shop, which is worrying ...Evidently someone has told them of the mistake, because the I is now missing, which doesn't help much.

I noticed that too.  I hate paying for Delvery, don't you?Then there's the Acton Town Cafe which now offers 'posh eggs on toast'.  Sadly they are not that posh, just poached.Obviously my plans to pursue a career in proofreading are bearing fruit already...

There's another cracking one on Myrtle Road near the post box - (I love this one too!)It's painted in bright yellow paint on a front path - and says slightly surreally ....- "Mind Bumps" ..... someone has carefully painted the bumps in the tarmac path in a kind of formation of yellow clouds...Always cheers me up when I pass it.

"Mind Bumps" I think is meant to mean "Mind THE Bumps" ... referring to the bumps in the path...It actually works brilliantly because you'd spend thirty seconds looking at the floor trying to work out the meaning of "Mind Bumps" .... before you enter the house.

I like the signs on the fruit and veg in the shop near to HSBC. The Cheery Tomatoes always make me smile :)

Gill says they sell COCKATIELS to drink in the cafe beside the pet shop.Just a few doors down is CANARY KEBABS.

Not a street sign in Acton, but a funny one anyway: Sign (apparently genuine) in the kitchen of a cricket pavilion:  'Ladies, please rinse teapots thoroughly and stand upside down on the draining-board'.
