the refurbished Victorian Baths in Kentish Town are superbsee http://www.guardian.co.uk/culture/2010/jul/26/kentish-town-baths-restored-openit would be wonderful if Acton Baths could be renovated and preserved like thisSt Pancras station was nearly bulldozed but somebody had the vision to see how it could be and now it is fantasticwhereas the historic Euston station was bulldozed and replaced with a tacky modern station which is now absolutely horrificI know which I would choose. I would rather spend £25M on renovating and preserving Acton Baths than no doubt a lot more on a tacky modern alternative that no one will like or want to use

Just like the ones at Chelsea Town Hall on the King's Road - it can be done and they last a lot longer providing they are maintained properly
