The Swedish version, part 1 available on IPlayer for 4 more days, seriously Swedish, dark and a bit depressing, like Wallander himself, enjoy!

I was a late convert to this (half-way through series 2) as I don't usually watch films with subtitles, but became completely hooked! Although I liked the Branagh version very much the Swedish version is marvellous; dark, complex and gripping. I shall much enjoy catching up on what I missed first time around.

Agreed.I missed most of the 1st series and it's good that it's being repeated. It's also on catch-up if you miss it.

Didn't really like the BBC version - it tried too hard to come across as Swedish. The Swedish character is much more like the Wallander in the books. Just a shame they've not based the episodes on the books.

I thought the first series was much better than the second. Didn't see all of them, though, so am looking forward to catching the ones I missed.
