Burst Tyres

Today i was driving down Larden road, i had the right of way(according to the road sign) when an on comming car forced me to swerve and i hit the curb bursting my passanger side tyres. i was lucky enough to flag down a mobile tyre van 'Acton Tyres' i asked the chap for a quote, i was thinking 'big bill time' but the price was cheaper than if i had to go to a shop. He had to get the tyres from a wharehouse and the whole job was less than an hour with him going to get the tyres. I must say he knew his stuff and he was so polite a realy nice bloke, he gave me a business card which i have programed the number into my mobile. So if any body wants his number i will be happy to give it, great service gerat price and he comes out to your home or work. WELL DONE ACTON TYRES

Bad luck. The Emlyn/Larden right of way passes are a real pain. So often a bully comes through when they have no right of way. I try to get into the middle as I approach where they should wait, but have still had aggressive blokes drive through anyway and force me over or make me stop.

So tell us how much you were charged for the tyre - so we can judge, if you got a fare price.

Hi Victor,the size was a 205/55x16 and he quoted me for a budget and name branded. The budget was £50 fitted,balanced,new valve and the old tyres disposed.The Pirelli was £78 all in so  i went for the Pirelli which i thought was a good price.

Thanks for the recommendation. Just used Acton Tyres - cheaper than Kwik Fit on line prices and they come to the house.
