Tree fell on a Taxi......

About 3.45pm at junction of Uxbridge Rd and East Acton Lane. Eastbound lane was blocked and judging by the traffic on the Uxbridge Rd I guess there are still problems. Did not appear to be any injuries, the tree fell across the bonnet and pavement from within Acton Park

I was cycling through the park at that time, and it sure was gusty.

And my 2 and a half year old and I were just coming out of the park when a conker hit me on the shoulder really hard.  They were falling like rocks from the trees overhanging East Churchfield Road and when I dashed my little one into the car, taking care to shield her, one hit the roof so hard it's left a small dent.

Conkers can be lethal: I was hit on the head by one in Gunnersbury Park a couple of years ago on a windy day. It was such a shock I thought I was being mugged! (Bit embarrassing to discover it was just a conker...)
