Exercise machines in the park

At North Acton Rec, just up the road from here, the council installed a handful of really chunky exercise machines. I suppose the idea is that on our (cough) jogs round the park, we stop and pump some iron, getting weight training along with the CV workout.iA great idea. I love it, but...I've got a weak knee and thigh that need exercising and the machines in that park don't have a leg press. Anyone know if there any other collections of machines in the local parks that I could check oout?

Not locally - but there are some great machines outside Swiss Cottage Library and Swimming pool.I saw them recently them recently and thought "what a clever idea....!"

We live near the park and drive past the exercise area a couple of times a day at all hours and it is great to see people of all ages using the equipment and not just playing on it.

Hey why don't they take a leaf out of Boris' book and put in some hire cycles?
