Acton Gardening Open Day

Alan Simpson, creator of Hancock's Half Hour and Steptoe and Son will be star guest at Sunday's Acton Gardening Assoc's Open Day noon till 4pm Bromyard avenue,  opp King Fahad Academy. Simpson will conduct and answer and question session. Acton bee keeper John Chapple brings his glass observation hive, and there's a chicken demonstration. Home cooked Thai, Italian and british burgers on sale. Plant sale. All in aid of Garden Leave, whop rehab trauma affected soldiers through gardening. Boss Anna will give talk. Freen entry. Loads of free advice, and live band. The Green answer to the Carnival!!!

Thank you so much for letting us know about this wonderful event! I never imagined beforehand that I would  have spent three hours touring the allotments, talking to the gardeners and getting advice about gardening, purchasing some delicious grown-on-site produce including Ealing honey, meeting two well-known comedy writers and rounding it all off with some Italian food and fresh raspberry punch!  Absolute bliss! Just made it home before the downpour!  Looking forward to the next one!
