London Overground NLL service on Sunday!

Patrick Green added a post to an old thread recently, saying "I think there is a service this weekend."  This choice of words reflected the confusion on TfL's website, which has the line through Acton Central shown as working on their weekend closures page, but the Journey Planner is still offering only rail replacement buses.I've just phoned LOROL, and they tell me that there IS a service on the North London Line all weekend including Sunday, but only between Richmond and Gospel Oak.  I have no information about the Sunday timetable yet. On Saturday and Monday, there should be 4 trains per hour in each direction (use Journey Planner for detailed info).

I have contacted the team that maintain the Journey Planner service to point this out. They get their data from National Rail for the North London line and explained as follows:"Due to ongoing data issues with National Rail data and journey planner systems, Journey Planner is not giving any train times/journeys between Richmond and Gospel Oak for Sunday 29 August. It is giving rail replacement bus journeys instead however these are incorrect as replacement buses only operate between Stratford and Gospel Oak."I have looked at the timetable and on Sunday there is a 30 minute service. Trains depart Acton Central eastbound at 19 & 49 minutes past the hour and westbound at 36 & 6 minutes past.

Thanks, Patrick. The Journey Planner has now stopped offering non-existent rail replacement buses, and is routing using normal bus and Tube services, but as you've indicated, it isn't offering LO trains.So we have for once a Sunday NLL service, but it's not at a turn-upand-go frequency, so we need a timetable which TfL haven't bothered to publish.  What a shambles!Any chance of a link to a timetable?  It would be useful to publish the Gunnersbury times on the Chiswick site too.

I can't find a timetable on the website but I rang the Travel Information number and the times for the Sunday service are:Gunnersbury eastbound 14 and 44 past hourSouth Acton eastbound 16 and 46South Acton westbound 40 and 10Gunnersbury westbound 42 and 12

Thanks again, Patrick.  It's odd that LOROL/TfL went to the trouble of printing posters with today's full timetable (I realised when I saw one at Acton Central), but didn't put it on the TfL website.  It was, however, good to see that the trains I was on were quite well patronised.I see from the September Modern Railways that Network Rail are implying that the increase in train length fom 3 cars to 4 will happen later this year.  This was, however, in a letter full of desperate spin in an attempt to respond to scathing criticism of Network Rail's work on the North London Line in the July edition.  So I'm not sure it's a reliable forecast.
